Is a wedding abroad legally valid?
At all four of our locations (Mexico, Seychelles, Portugal, South Africa) a civil wedding is possible directly on site. We discuss the details in the wedding conversation. A detailed overview is available in our German-language journal.
Do we need a visa?
That depends on the destination country and your nationality. We'll inform you in good time before your chosen date about the specific entry requirements for your location.
What languages do you work in?
German, English, and Spanish. The wedding conversation and the ceremony take place in whichever language feels right for you.
Can guests attend?
Yes. Bondingoo is designed around you as a couple, but a small, chosen circle of people can join if that matters to you. Just ask us about it.
What does a Bondingoo wedding cost?
The wedding conversation including the ceremony itself is €2,900, a photographer for the ceremony and a couple's shoot is €1,500, both one-time, plus travel. Videography and a custom program are available on request with individual pricing. The yearly accompaniment costs €900, the yearly renewal €1,900. All six building blocks can be chosen individually.
Why is the yearly accompaniment worth it?
Because we already know you from the wedding conversation, the two yearly conversations aren't generic appointments, they're prepared specifically for you, based on what we know about your story. The four prompts in between are also tailored to your specific yearly theme, not generic off-the-shelf impulses. This accompaniment is also where your two new pearls each year come from. For €900 a year, you get an accompaniment that genuinely knows you, not an interchangeable coaching subscription.
What if we want to skip a year?
No problem. Accompaniment and renewal are voluntary and chosen fresh each year, no subscription, no obligation. You decide anew each year whether you want to continue.
How does the yearly renewal work?
Once a year, at sunrise or sunset, your choice, followed by reflection over a shared breakfast or dinner. Easily combined with your annual holiday.
What's the story behind the pearls?
From your yearly accompaniment you receive two pearls for two different yearly themes, such as curiosity, trust, or tenderness. They're threaded onto a band that grows every year, a visible, wearable story of your relationship. More: the pearl's perspective (German).
How do the retreat windows work?
Each season we're at four fixed locations, each for a month, at the time of year when travel weather there is best. You choose the window that suits you and travel there yourselves, we take care of the ceremony and program on site.
How do I get there, for the wedding or renewal?
You organize your own travel, just like any regular trip. Once your window is confirmed, we'll tell you in good time exactly where you need to be and for how long. Flight, accommodation, and travel are planned freely according to your own wishes and budget. On request, we're happy to recommend accommodation and travel timing on site.
Can we book our entire trip through Bondingoo?
Yes, if you'd like. We work with travel partners who take care of your entire trip, from flights to accommodation, and put together a suitable offer for you. Just get in touch, we're happy to make the introduction.
Is Bondingoo couples therapy?
Bondingoo is a curated space for couples who already have a good relationship and want to consciously keep nurturing it. That's different from therapy, couples counseling, or crisis intervention: anyone currently experiencing serious conflict or psychological distress is better served by a licensed therapist.
